Business Owners: Failing To Act On Abortion Rights Could Cost You

The overturning of Roe v. Wade has made the lives of women and people who can become pregnant vastly more complicated. Overnight, the United States became a confusing patchwork of trigger laws effecting considerable state-to-state variation regarding bodily autonomy, and not just when it comes to abortion rights, but even impacting rights to cancer treatment for pregnant people and access to necessary medication for those who could become pregnant. The ground we’re left standing on feels precarious, and it’s still shaking; anti-choice groups are pushing for even harsher, more sweeping restrictions. It’s a scary—and dangerous—time to be a woman. This is especially true for those of childbearing age, the very time when you’re trying to get your footing, and build your future.
