In Dialogue: Wendy Holmes On Women’s Pandemic-Era Financial Independence

The pandemic induced economic crisis, already the most severe since the Great Depression and easily eclipsing the 2008 collapse, has thrown decades of economic gains by and for women into question. Traditional gender roles are reasserting themselves, and women are once again being asked to give up their careers in order to raise children. As hard-won progress rapidly unravels around us, it’s more critical than ever that we take control of our financial lives, rather than abdicating it to our husbands. So I wanted to talk to someone who deals with women negotiating their financial futures every day.
